Mt. Shasta Climb 2009 : We climbed Mt. Shasta starting on June 15th, 2009 and returned home on June 17th. The first night we camped at Horse Camp (about 8,000 ft.). The next morning we climbed to the base camp at Helen Lane (just over 10,000 ft.). John Von, John and Jeff summited early on Wednesday June 17th. Warren suffered from an apparent case of altitude sickness at about 11,000 ft. and returned to the Helen Lake base camp at 10,000. Jeff also skied from the summit back to Horse Camp.
