Our trip to Massachusetts, Washington D.C. and New York City from Saturday August 15th to Saturday August 29th 2009. We flew to Boston on Saturday, spent Sunday in Amherst and Belchertown with George, Leslie and family. On Monday, August 17th, we rented a car and drove to Washington D.C. to see Lou Jean's brother, Tim (Bertram C. Willis), sister-in-law, Chris, and lots of their family. We stayed with them until early Thursday morning, August 20th, when we drove to Newark, N.J. We left our car at the hotel and took a train to Manhattan to see the temple and to visit my cousins Dick Huber and Jane Clark, Dick's wife, Bobbie, and Jane's son Eric, his wife, Sarah, and their children Conor and Sinead. On Friday, August 21st we saw Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty then drove back to Belchertown. On Saturday, August 22nd we drove to Mystic, CN with George and family. The next week we visited Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, MA, Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth Rock, Mayflower II, Yankee Candle Village, and Lupa Zoo. We thank everyone for being so kind and helpful. We had a wonderful trip!
Leslie and George's house in Belchertown, MA where we stayed the first two days and later in our trip. It was hot and humid most of the time both here and in the other places we traveled. They have a window air conditioner in the room in which we stayed.
