Eureka CA trip July 2004

Driving north of Arcata, CA where we stayed. Many large tree's lined the roadside.

Driving thru the town of Trinadad on Thurs. 7-15. Note the very top of a lighthouse replica and the town flag, with the bay in the distance.

The beach with nice view of the Pacfic ocean. We had cool, sunny weather with temperatures in the 60's. It is often very foggy here, so we were happy the weather was nice for our visit.

Rocks by the pier were a resting spot for birds, and we watched seals later playing in the water.

Inside the gift shop located by the pier. Here you could also buy a ticket for the charter fishing boat. Cost for a trip was $75. We did see on fisherman who came back with a large Salmon.

Yurok restored Indian village at Patrick's Point a short distance inland from the rocky coast. I'll bet the Indians enjoyed eating those mussels, and catching fish along the coast.
